History
Machina Lonati Fashion and Design Institute was founded in 2002 by an idea between Fondazione Adele e Francesco Lonati, entitled to the founders of the homonym Industrial Group, and Cooperative Foppa Group that works with success since many years in the territory formation and education.
In these years the institute began member of ADI (Industrial Design Association), Machina is supported by the Camera di Commercio of Brescia, by the Industrial Association of Brescia, by Confartigianato, by Brescia Province, by Brescia Municipality, by the Italian National Fashion Chamber and by the Brescia Order of Architects.
Moreover to give real work opportunities to their students and to create stages, the institute is a partner of Brescia University, AIB and Camera di Commercio and with many companies (click here to show the companies list).
Lonati SPA has played an important role in the process of development of Italian industry since the end of the Second World War; its name is synonymous for strong initiative spirit and innovative strategy. The strength of this important group, composed of various brands in the mechanical, electronic, and iron and steel industries, is underscored by its financial success and the special leading position it holds in the world market of machinery for the fashion industry.
The Foppa Cooperative Group promotes educational and formative endeavors; its mission is the development of the human resource which its students represent, all the while keeping constant track of and ever-changing society and the demands of the marketplace.
With this consolidated patrimony of ideas and resources, Machina Lonati Fashion and Design Institute intends to create a program which allows young professional to find, at the end of their formative process, a collocation within the companies which make up the Lonati Group, thus creating a bridge between the educational process and the world of work.
