Course Description: The course of Industrial Design is accredited by the
Ministry of Education and University and Research under
protocol number. 6862 of 28.03.2003
The purpose of the course is to form a specialized
professional in the design of industrial products in
relationship to the evolution of markets and to the
new needs of aesthetic-visual communication and to
safeguard the environment.
The course, characterized for its practical-operative
philosophy and its closeness to the needs of the market
is divided into four fundamental educational components:
- T he need to form real “project technicians” able to
operate within design groups and to communicate
with industrial buyers, to know business strategies
and production systems and mechanics;
- T he knowledge of the project starting from the concept
up to the final product;
- Knowledge of specific strands such as ergonomics,
anthropometry, design, graphics, packaging, materials
technology up to the design development and
a creation of a prototype;
- Strategic development of the industrial product.
During the third year of studies it is possible to get a
Degree in Domotics and Automation.
Integrated Domotics makes up a market full of development
for businesses and for professionals in the
field who are updated on innovative products. The
Degree Studies for Domotics and Automation aims to
illustrate functionality and advantages and it supplies
basic information on the characteristics of the available
systems and the market trends. Object of study
and analysis will be electrical plants and electronics
of intelligent buildings industrial and civil ones,
the norms of the Sector “Home & Building Electronic
System”, the main architectures and practical illustrations
of some functions obtainable via cable and
radiofrequency.
The aim of the Industrial Design course is to prepare
professionals gifted with a global vision in the industrial
design, those who are really projected towards
a practical solution of problems related to form, function
and aesthetics and are strongly stimulated towards
technological and cultural innovation.
The course aims to prepare young professionals with a global vision of industrial design to resolve problems relating to form, function, and use.
