Course Description: The course in Fashion Technology Design is accredited by the Ministry of Education of the University and Research; protocol number 6862 dated 28.03.2003.
The purpose of the course is to train professionals
to become ready to interact in the current market
sector of textiles/clothing. The aim is to form the
professional to be versatile and able to answer the
needs of the companies in the fashion sector, but
also to be able to interact with new technological
scenarios applied to fashion.
Presently the clothing business is witnessing a growing
development of products called “seamlesswear”
and many companies have forwarded the request of
having specialized designers that know how to manage
a multitude of needs that characterize “seamless”
technology.
The course of Fashion Technology Design of Machina,
is the only one in the world that prepares new “style
engineers”, that is, new “technological designers”,
entrusted with planning and management of new
processes for the creation of products in the fashion
sector.
These new professionals called “technologist designer”
are able to conjugate age old Brescian industrial
tradition with research and at the same time paying
attention to the needs of innovation stimulated by the
global market.
Every student will assimilate the instruments necessary
to design and create fashion collections.
In particular, the student will assimilate the techniques
used in forecasting and interpretations of new fashion
trends. The course is designed so to spend an intensive
time in class, then a series of practical experience to
carry out at a company of the sector.
The aim of the course is to conjugate three fundamental
training components:
- Training in the specific cultural micro-language of
the fashion sector;
- Adequate preparation in the field of artistic creation
and fashion design;
- T echnological knowledge in the fashion sector and
in particular in the innovative seamless system.
The goal of this post-diploma course is to prepare versatile professionals for positions in a specific, emerging sector of the fashion industry, taking into consideration the precise and concrete demands of the marketplace.
